Hello, I’m Rosy.

I am a personal trainer and movement coach who helps people in midlife and beyond feel stronger, move with more confidence and build trust in what their body can do. My coaching is personal, thoughtful and adaptable. I combine strength training with mobility, balance, Pilates-informed movement, cardio fitness, breathing and nervous system awareness, choosing what will serve each person best on that particular day.

Why I coach this way

My own experiences of fibromyalgia, persistent pain and osteoarthritis have given me a deeply personal understanding of how much a body can change, and how important it is to work with it thoughtfully.  I have learned that listening to your body does not have to mean becoming afraid of movement. It can mean pacing wisely, adapting when needed and continuing to build strength, mobility and confidence.  This is my lived experience, not a medical claim or a promise that everyone’s journey will look the same.

My clients keep inspiring me

Much of what continues to inspire my coaching comes from the people I work with.  I have watched clients become stronger, regain confidence and achieve things they had quietly begun to believe were behind them. I have seen people in their seventies and eighties improve what their bodies can do, and clients surprise themselves by reaching personal goals such as full press-ups. Their determination and progress constantly remind me how adaptable and capable the human body can be. They do not simply receive my encouragement; their courage, consistency and willingness to keep trying inspire me every day.

How I work with you

I listen closely, observe how you move and adapt your session to the body and energy you bring that day. Sometimes that means a purposeful strength session.  Sometimes it means changing the intensity, focusing on mobility and control, or using breathing, Tai Chi or Pilates-informed movement. Adaptation is not a lesser session. It is intelligent coaching.

I will encourage and challenge you, but never use fear, shame or unrealistic promises.  I ask you to be present, honest and committed to the best of your capability.  My role is to help you understand your body and grow more confident in your own judgement; not to keep you dependent on me.

Your body may have changed, but that does not mean its best possibilities are behind you. If you want thoughtful, personal coaching that meets you where you are and helps you move forward with confidence, begin by completing the short enquiry form.
